Relieving hunger in the most impoverished region in Kenya
In recent reports by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), Turkana County has been found as experiencing both the highest levels of poverty and inequality in all of Kenya.
Due to extreme drought, these conditions continue to worsen. Child malnutrition rates are rising, water sources are depleted and often unsafe for the community to drink, and livestock have died due to starvation and dehydration.
